Michael's Story
When I walked in to Michael House about a month ago I was literally wearing the clothes on my back. That was what was left of the mistakes I had made in life. Thanks to the kindness and of Jim White and his staff my life is now full of opportunities. With Michaels House support I am back on my feet in a short space of time and feel a contentedness I have not felt for a long while. I am being sincere when I say thanks to Michael House my life has really changed for the better.

Norman's Story
I recently was accepted as a resident at Michael House. On the afternoon of my acceptance there I was facing homelessness as I had to move many miles from home due to domestic circumstances. On arriving at Michael House I was treated with respect and warmth
I am truly grateful for being able to live there, and enjoy thoroughly living there.
Dennis's story
Having been homeless for four months in desperation, I turned to Michael House for help.
Having been interviewed by Jim White (manager of the house) I was accepted as a Tenant, since being here I have had a lot of support from both staff and other residents.
I am a trained chef and will be helping out in the kitchen from time to time.
Hopefully this will be a stepping stone for better things to come.
I am really grateful to the staff at Michael House for the help and support and will help in any way I can.
Alan's story
My name is Alan, I'm 38 years old.
I've been involved in drugs most of my life and if I had stayed on that, path I would surely have died.
I really have wasted most of my life, to date there's only two things that have made a difference, my daughter and moving into Michael House.
I've been clean from drugs now for 5-6 months, I know it is not long but to me it's a very big step.
Moving into Michael House has really been the break I needed, one thing I wasn't used to, was people being kind and helpful, which the staff really have been. Even the residents are great.
I don't know what will happen to this letter, from the bottom of my heart I really have to say a really BIG THANK YOU!!! .To you all.
John
My Name is John, I am 50 something and one of those displaced people, who like many before him, is grateful for the support of Michael House for getting me to a level that hopefully society will once again accept .

I was homeless after coming to Bournemouth , trying to be near my family. Not only have I achieved this but I have found another family at Michael House, who like myself, have had their own personal problems.
I now work as a volunteer, cooking the evening meals at the house which I enjoy immensely. I enjoy the camaraderie with the fellow staff and colleagues.
Who knows what lies in the future for me, but I'm sure it will be for the better for me and also for others who have found a valid reason to go forwards for their own future.
A big thank you, to Jim and his staff for making it worthwhile. T.M 2005

I want to say thanks to Michael House, I managed to move somewhere I think I can now put down roots and I'm back by the sea. The time I spent as a Resident in Michael House is another reason why I'm still sober. I arrived in Boscombe knowing no one. But on day one in Michael's I was made to feel welcome by the staff and other Residents.
Michael House and the dedicated Staff that run the house for people like me that need help to get themselves back on track, is a very important place and long may it run. I'm still sober today because of the help I was given by good people I've had the good fortune to meet since I stopped drinking. Thank you all. N.M 2005 (Previous Resident)
